World History Spine: A Child's History of the World by V.M. Hillyer was our first spine. It took nearly a year to read but it gave us a general outline and we enjoyed it. The Story of the World Series by Susan Wise Bauer is also popular. This is also available in a CD Version. The Story of the World: History for the Classical Child: v. 1: Ancient Times What in the World's Going on Here? Vol. I "Creation to Christ" CD set - Diana Waring (CB) With an enthusiastic storyteller's style, Diana takes you through the ancient civilizations up to the resurrection of Christ and shows God's plan through it all. Jesus is revealed as the centrepiece of human history. Great for children over about I0 years too. You can use these with Diana's Study Guides as an exciting introduction to a period, or for family listening. Four x CDs in a plastic case.
