Galloping the Globe: The Geography Unit Study for Young Learners with CD-Rom- Loree Pettit & Dari Mullins
A junior unit study curriculum based around studying the countries of the world. For each country you: colour a map of that country and list some basic details about it (capital, population etc.), read aloud a few paragraphs about it, read some living books (many suggestions are made or you can use our suggestions), do a craft, colour a flag, play a game from that country (explained), cook some food eaten there, look up the Internet links (optional) and read the relevant Bible verses that go with the living books if you choose. Although many countries also have mazes, quizzes and fun activities, I think the benefit is in the large usage of living books and the fact that it is well geared for children aged 5 - 10 years. This course suggests using Considering God's Creation as a related science curriculum for a full educational curriculum (without language arts and maths). Any books not in this catalogue that are suggested may be requested from HSF. A one year course.
